Prague Castle is another top tourist attraction as it provides one of the best views of the city. The castle is located on a hilltop giving a spectacular view for all who trek to the top. While the castle grounds span over 18 acres, making it nearly impossible to see the entire grounds on one trip, you can certainly get an overall feel for the grounds after entering the castle.
Prague Castle was founded by Prince Bořivoj of the Premyslid dynasty. The castle became the seat for Czech royalty and the Bishop of Prague. Today the Crown Jewels, many historical documents and art relics can be found in the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic. The Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument is also home to the Czech president and the option is available to tour this as it is one of the adjoining buildings of the castle.
